The New Brighton Community Cleanup is back in 2024. Save a trip to the landfill and bring any items that don't fit in your black bins to Shepard Community Hall for easy disposal. Food Trucks will be on-site and available to purchase from starting at 10:30 onwards.  This service is free of charge to all Calgarians. Tween Night (10-14 yrs only) - 1st Friday of the month 7pm-8:30pm Let’s have some fun to the Clubhouse! New Brighton Tweens (10-14 yrs only) are invited to a night of games, competitions & good times.  This is the last session before summer break. Make sure to bring your swim suit or change of clothes as activities will be in the Splash Park (weather permitting). Doors open at 7pm so grab your friends and meet us there. *Tweens ages 10 & 11 must have a parent sign them in & out to participate. * ($2 drop in, includes snacks)   RSVP is required         

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a very low cost. The Good Food Box is a hands-up program as opposed to hands-out. They offer all Calgarians’ sustainable access to nutritious food to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are put together and delivered by dedicated volunteers who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing affordable nutritious food.  Cut off: May 28th at NOON Delivery: June 7th                                          Small: $30 Medium: $35 Large: $40
