The New Brighton Residents Association is proud to host several events each year. These events are free to attend and open to all New Brighton residents (in good standing). Due to space constraints, some events require RSVP.

12 Days of Giving

Keep your eyes on the New Brighton social media accounts from December 3rd to the 14th and participate in the 2024 12 Days of Giving! A fantastic new basket of hand selected items will be posted each day with a prompt on how you can enter the giveaway raffle.  The winner of each basket will be shared the following day at 10am, with a new basket being posted the following hour at 11am. Participation is open to everyone, both residents of New Brighton and non-residents living outside the community!

Tot Time

Tot Time (Wednesdays 1:30pm-3:00pm) - $2.Drop in Bring your little ones and join a fun afternoon of socialization and unstructured free play with the Bounce House. Parents can enjoy coffee and great company while the kids bounce around!      

Seniors Club

The NBRA is excited to host the New Brighton Seniors Card Club ($2 drop in), The NBRA is excited to host the New Brighton Seniors Card Club, offering a variety of different card games and great conversation each week. Spend the afternoon enjoying new games, meeting new friends, and exploring everything that the NBRA has to offer.

Tween's Night Out (10-14yrs)

Tween Night (10-14 yrs only) - 1st Friday of the month 7pm-8:30pm Let’s have some fun to the Clubhouse! New Brighton Tweens (10-14 yrs only) are invited to a night of games, competitions & good times.  Doors open at 7pm so grab your friends and meet us there. *Tweens ages 10 & 11 must have a parent sign them in & out to participate. * ($2 drop in, includes snacks)   RSVP is required         

Good Food Box

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a very low cost. The Good Food Box is a hands-up program as opposed to hands-out. They offer all Calgarians’ sustainable access to nutritious food to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are put together and delivered by dedicated volunteers who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing affordable nutritious food.  Cut off: December 3rd at NOON Delivery: December 13th                                              Small: $30 Medium: $35 Large: $40

Babysitting Night

Want a night out without the kids? Let us look after your little ones while you enjoy some quality time. Children must be fully potty trained. Registration is required by registering online (My Programs, Workshops) https://nbra.perfectmind.com, visiting the front desk or by calling 403-781-6613 ext 1 Residents: $25/child Non-Residents: $30/child Pizza, a light snack & drink will be offered during the evening. Please feel free to pack nut free snacks/drinks for your children should they need more. *please note: In order to confirm registration, payment will be taken at time of booking.    

The Snow Must Go On! - Puppetstuff Canada

The local forest creatures are preparing for their annual winter celebration show, when they are hit with the biggest snowfall of all time! Now they must use their imaginations and try to put on the best holiday show ever, in six feet of snow! Tap your toes to hilarious renditions of your favourite snow themed holiday classics as they put on a show to remember… and who knows, some of you might have to help them pull it off!  $5/Family Limited seats available, to purchase tickets, please call 403-781-6613 ext 1.

Santa Letter Drop-Off

Santas red mailbox is back in the Clubhouse and his elves are getting ready to answer all the special letters delivered by residents of New Brighton! He'll be making stops at the Clubhouse starting on November 22nd 2024 to collect all the letters in the mailbox and will have his elves respond + mail them back! Letters must be dropped off by 9pm on December 15th 2024 to ensure his elves have the time needed to mail them back. This service is for New Brighton residents only and letters will only be mailed to New Brighton addresses. How to get your letter to Santa (and make sure it gets returned!): Write a special letter to Santa. Include a return address so his elves know where to send a response to. Drop the letter off at the New Brighton Clubhouse in our red mailbox (inside the Clubhouse next to the office). All letters must be received before December 15th at 9pm to ensure a response before the holidays.

Canvas Creations (18+)

Come to the Clubhouse for a relaxing evening of creativity! Learn the technique behind different painting styles and get in touch with your inner artist while visiting with friends! Create your masterpiece from start to finish and take it home to show off your new skills. Drinks will be available for the duration of the workshop. *Note: 1st drink is included with program cost, additional drinks will be sold at a cost of $5 each at the front desk*

Looking to kick up your Family Movie Night a notch? One Stop Boxes

One Stop Boxes:  A night of fun… where the planning is done for you! Looking for a fun family night, where the planning is done for you?  The NBRA is excited to offer quarterly 'One Stop Boxes' suitable for families of all sizes! The Family Fun Night box is only $25 and all you have to do is place your order and get ready to unbox your night of fun! The best part about the NBRA’s 'One Stop Boxes' is that, unlike other box services… no subscription is necessary. You can simply order the box prior to the order due date. Winter Carnival

The snow is falling and the rinks are gleaming! Join the NBRA for an afternoon of skating, hot chocolate, marshmallow roasting and lots of outdoor winter activities! Bundle up because its sure to be cold! The NBRA Winter Carnival is a weather dependent event, if weather reaches plus temperatures the rinks may not be open, and if the weather is below -20 outdoor activity stations will be halted. Valentines Skate

Love is in the air, and so is the smell of hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows! Make your way to the NBRA Clubhouse Friday, February 14th, 2025 for the Valentines Skate. Enjoy skating with your loved ones, get a cup of delicious hot chocolate, and roast marshmallows on the gas firepits. This event is only open to residents of New Brighton, but RSVP is not required.
